Althea Grebe

Althea completed her Occupational Therapy degree at the University of the Free State in 2011. She has developed strong expertise in cognitive assessment and rehabilitation through her work with individuals affected by brain injuries, neurological conditions, and dementia. This clinical foundation also informs her work in comprehensive driving assessments, where cognitive and functional insight is key.

Since 2016, she has conducted work capacity assessments, including medico-legal evaluations, and has provided expert evidence in the High Court. She is WorkWell Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) certified and has nearly a decade of experience in vocational rehabilitation.

Althea has expanded her scope into mental health, becoming a certified Sensory Intelligence® practitioner and completing training in Karen Theunissen’s Psychiatric Functional Capacity Evaluator (PFCE) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for Occupational Therapists. Most recently, she completed training in nervous system regulation, focusing on breathwork, somatic tools, and clinical reasoning. This has strengthened her trauma-informed approach to rehabilitation.

Known for her calm, practical approach, Althea is the person who quietly solves complex problems — whether clinical or mechanical. Her steady confidence, hands-on mindset, and deep clinical knowledge make her an invaluable part of the team. In her free time, she enjoys running or spending time with her horse, Dawie.
